Violence may flare on 30 June in order to
create disorder in Egypt, al-Gamaa al-Islamiya, an Islamist movement
based in Egypt, has said.
There are bodies in Egypt that receive foreign funding to produce
chaos, the London-based al-Hayat newspaper has reported the group's
spokesman as saying.
"The call for confrontation is adopted by those who call for
deviating from the elected president's legitimacy," spokesman Mohamed
Hassaan said.
We do not support President Mohamed Mursi but we stand by legitimacy, Hassaan said.
Several political and national powers have called for mass
demonstrations on 30 June to demand toppling the regime and call for
holding early presidential elections.
"There are legal and constitutional methods to topple the president," the spokesman stated.
If the current president is ousted, no rule will be stable in Egypt, he said.
"If the opposition topples the president, who will be the next
ruler?" Hassaan asked, adding that if this ruler is a member of the
current opposition, the group will take to the streets to topple him.
