I wish to pay tribute to a living legend, Kenya's first class gem,
freedom fighter, statesman and hero. Though you have been abused,
maligned, misunderstood, persecuted and proscribed, no one will ever
take your place. You play in the league of the Christs of this world.
Though human, you possess rare qualities of the deities. You rarely hit
back when attacked. You don't avenge when robbed. You don't quit when
misrepresented. Everyone acknowledges your immense contributions in the
democratization of Kenya. I will even advise that you take a rest. Leave
room for Kenyans to judge. Take a much deserved rest. Let your name
take a long leave from the radios, tvs, newspapers, social media. Let
Kenya's enemies look for a new scapegoat upon which they will blame all
their scandals, problems, shortcomings etc. You have done your part. Let
others rise and pick up from where you have left. It will not be long
before, in our collective shame and guilt as a nation, we shall look for
you wherever you will be, and be forced to apologise and honor you for
all you have done for us. I will forever be grateful to you my hero, and
mentor. You remain my leader and president. You are one in a million.
You are set apart in a class of your own. I must look for you and honour
you with whatever I have. I wish you a great time Kenya's father of
reform and democracy. Have a blessed Easter dear Raila Amolo Odinga.
